My computer mouse is not responding to any movements. It seems as if the computer does not recieve any signals, but it appears that the driver is working. Any Ideas?

Have you tried checking the batteries in the mouse? Chances are, they're dead.
    Also, try going to:
Start >Control Panel> Hardware & Sound> Devices and Printers. There will most likely be a caution arrow over the Computer Icon if there is a mouse problem.

My laptop battery lasts for a very short time, like 10 minutes, before it dies. it used to last 3 hours. What happened?

You can try to change your battery and if that doesn't work, your computer is probably running to many programs, causing the cpu to over heat so cut some power consumption.
